Contrary to several reports, the UFC's first event on FOX will not directly compete with Manny Pacquiao's scheduled pay-per-view trilogy clash with Juan Manuel Marquez on November 12 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. On Thursday, UFC and FOX announced a multi-year television deal, and the first event of the deal will fall on November 12.

UFC Chairman and CEO Lorenzo Fertitta told the Las Vegas Sun that UFC's first card on FOX will at 6 p.m. and will feature two fights. The show will last one hour and everything will be completed before the start of Pacquiao's bout. The UFC's event is slated to take place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

“We’ll be out of there before Pacquiao even walks to the ring,” Fertitta said. “This is going to be a perfect night for any fight fan. Get together with your friends, watch two big fights in the UFC and then change the channel to ride into the Pacquiao pay-per-view.”
