Hernan "Tyson" Marquez is taking his latest training camp very seriously, as he expects a tough defense of his World Boxing Association flyweight championship. Marquez will rematch Panamanian star Luis "El Nica" Concepcion on the 29th of October at the Multipurpose Center of Hermosillo, Mexico. In April Marquez traveled to Panama to battle Concepcion for eleven grueling rounds in a Fight of The Year candidate. Concepcion's face was too damaged to allow him to continue beyond the eleventh.
Marquez has spent the last two weeks of training in Los Mochis, with his trainer Don Manuel Montiel, who is also training WBO super bantamweight champion Jorge "Travieso" Arce for his next fight on September 24th.
Marquez is very motivated but gives Concepcion a lot of respect for his bravery.
"I'm training twice as hard because Concepcion is a great fighter. The motivation and support of my countrymen is very important, so I am very hard at work," Marquez said.
