Ciudad Obregon, Son. - With a great atmosphere and demonstrating their physical condition and the weeks of hard preparation, the boxers involved in this Saturday's big event - "Clash of Champions: Mexico vs. Philippines" - told the media they are ready for war at the Multipurpose Center (CUM).

In the main event - the flyweight champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA), Hernan "Tyson" Marquez (32-2-0, 25 KOs), will defend his title against a former world champion, Filipino Rodel Mayol (30-5 -2, 22 KOs).

In other Mexico vs. Phillppines battles - Sonoran flyweight Juan Francisco "Gallo" Estrada (22-1-0, 17 KOs) will face southpaw Richie Mepranum (25-2-1, 5 KOs).

"I feel very strong and I think this was one of the best preparations in my career. I'm ready for whatever Mayol brings and we are sure that the title will remain at home. Nobody will take away the world championship, especially when I'm fighting before my people," Marquez said.

Mayol, meanwhile, showed intensity, good boxing and accuracy. He also came to Mexico with a winning mentality.

"I come to his house to take his championship belt. I know that I have been described as a dirty fighter, that some of my fights have had head butts, but they were not intentional and not a part of my strategy. They were are accidents are these things happen in boxing, but this Saturday I'll fight Marquez and beat him clear and clean," said Mayol.
