Heavyweight contender Tyson Fury (24-0, 18KOs) is not opposed to facing WBO/IBO/IBF/WBA champion Wladimir Klitschko in Russia.

Fury is the WBO's mandatory challenger to Klitschko and their fight is expected to happen in either September or October.

A purse bid has been scheduled for Monday by the WBA - where Fury is also rated as the mandatory challenger.

Fury's comment regarding the fight taking place in Russia could be a hint that Russian promoter Andrie Ryabinsky is going to make his presence felt at the purse bid.

In 2013, Ryabsinky bid $23 million to secure the rights to Klitschko's mandatory defense against Alexander Povetkin. At the time Ryabinsky promoted neither man. He eventually signed Povetkin after the Russian fighter's contract ran out with Sauerland Event.

Promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom, who also promotes neither fighter, has given hints at potentially showing up at the WBA's offices on Monday to submit a bid of his own.

"There will be a lot of fun going in the ring against Klitschko in Russia. Party on the Red Square in Moscow, after the fight," Fury stated.
