Former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (24-0, 18 KOs) is lining up opponents after recently gaining permission to box again after the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBC) lifted his suspension subject to medical clearance.
The BBBC had suspended the 29-year-old's licence in 2016, citing anti-doping and medical issues, and he has not fought since defeating Wladimir Klitschko by unanimous decision in a major upset in November 2015.
After Fury accepted a backdated two-year doping ban with UK-Anti Doping in December, last month he announced that he was applying to have his licence reinstated.
"Following an interview with Tyson Fury at the British Boxing Board of Control offices earlier today, the suspension of his British Boxing Board of Control boxer's licence will be lifted subject to receipt and clearance of all medical requirements," the BBBC said on its website.
Now promoter Frank Warren is trying to finalize a return date in April for the former IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO world champion.
And Fury has called out veteran former champions Antonio Tarver and Shannon Briggs - letting both of them know that he plans to face them this year, but not in his comeback fight.
"Hi guys, this is just to clarify something. I tweeted Shannon Briggs before about a fight, came in with a contract. He will not be my comeback fight but I am going to sign him up anyway for whenever I am ready. I am going to sign Antonio Tarver up too," Fury said in a video.
"Tarver if you are watching and Briggs, I am going to send you some contracts but don’t expect to be my comeback fights. So train, prepare and get ready."
Tarver (31-6-1, 22 KOs), who is 49 years old, has been out of the ring since fighting to a split twelve round draw with Steve Cunningham in August of 2015.
And Briggs (60-6-1, 53 KOs), has been out since May of 2016 when scored a quick one round knockout of Emilio Zarate.
