Tyson Fury - "I'd Smash David Price's Face In"

By Mark Vester

Two UK heavyweight giants have been waging a verbal war in the media. The more popular of the two, 6' 8 Tyson Fury (5-0), wants to avenge an amateur loss to the 6'8 David Price (1-0). Before Price even turned pro, he was bragging about the amateur win over Fury and vowed to beat him in the pros. Price beat Fury 22-8 in the amateur bout. Fury says that he was nothing more than a kid when the bout took place. He says Price should be ashamed of his performance in that fight.

"When I fought him I was a raw 17-year-old kid. He was 23 or something like that. I'd had 10 bouts and he'd had 70. He was a Commonwealth champion and had won all sorts while I was a novice. He was the only one who ended up on the floor and I was trying to catch him with big hooks while his style was totally suited to the amateurs ," Fury said to ITV.

"As somebody said to me after if I was a double ABA champion, a Commonwealth champion with 70 fights and I could only do that to a 10-fight novice I'd pack the game in! "

Fury wasn't impressed with Price's debut win against David Ingleby. He predicts that Price will be stopped inside the first round if the two of them ever got together in a pro ring.

"I was only a kid but I have come on so much since then. I'm a man now and he's definitely in my sights. I know if we fought now I'd smash his face in. Ingleby wobbled him in that one and Ingleby can't land a glove on me in the gym (they have sparred extensively). If we fought again Price wouldn't make it out of the first round. I'm too ferocious. He's just a big chinny thing from Liverpool," Fury said.

Tyson fury ''smashed'' his own face in. I mean how do you punch yourself, i mean that's something a beginner wouldn't even do.

There is a few things tyson fury has going for himself - he's huge, he's got a cool name, he hits pretty hard (from what ive seen) and he talks shit. Theres alot of people hating on him but so…

I doubt i will be original, but IMO he is a real samurai... As the great warriors used to commit suicide throw hara-kiri for the sake of dignity, when it goes bad Fury will KO himself to avoid the disgrace…
