Odyssey Arena, Belfast, Northern Ireland - Heavyweight contender Tyson Fury (18-0, 13KOs) knocked out Martin Rogan (14-3, 7KOs) in the fifth round to capture the Irish title.

Fury, who entered the fight in the best shape of his entire career, came out in the southpaw stance, and Rogan came out being very aggressive - catching Fury with well-placed punches. In the third round, Fury caught Rogan with a hard shot and dropped him. Rogan got up very fast and made it to the bell.

Rogan came out in the fourth, still being aggressive, with Fury staying on the backfoot and pumping a quick jab to set up bigger punches. A few bodyshots hurt Rogan in the fourth, and once again in the fifth, and eventually those punches sent him down at the end of the round. Rogan barely made it to his feet and his corner threw in the towel to stop the fight.
