On Wednesday afternoon, boxing legends Mike Tyson and Roberto Duran were present at the Cosmopolitan Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The two Hall of Fame boxers sat back and watched light heavyweights Edison Miranda (34-5, 29KOs) and Yordanis Despaigne (8-1, 4KOs) trade words during the final press conference for this Friday's ESPN televised, which takes place at the Cosmopolitan. Junior welterweights Lamont Peterson and Victor Cayo are matched in the main event in an IBF mandatory elminator.

Both Tyson and Duran were unable to control their laughter, as Miranda verbally abused Despaigne.

"I'm not worried about this dead man over here. Look at him, I can tell that he's real nervous. When I arrived to Las Vegas, I looked up to the sky and I saw the stars, but I didn't see this guy. This guy is nothing. He's not even a fighter. How in the world did he fool a man like [promoter] Luis DeCubas Sr. into thinking he was a fighter? My last opponent, I beat the Russian up bad and made him get eye surgery. This guy, I promise that I'm going to knock him out," Miranda said.

Despaigne didn't seem worried, telling media members - "I'm not afraid of this guy."

During the face to face, promoter Leon Margules and some of the Cosmo security were required to separate the two boxers as the verbal battle was about to get physical.
