Tyrone McKenna will return to the ring next month.

The undefeated BUI Celtic super-lightweight champion, who was last in action on March 10 at the Waterfront Hall in Belfast, will box at the same venue in four weeks’ time.

McKenna stopped Jake Hanney in a defence of his aforementioned belt, exclusively live on BoxNation, last time out –– and he has been added to a card that will be broadcast on the same platform on June 17.

‘The Mighty Celt’, 27, will be looking to build on his impressive 13-0-1 (5 KOs) ledger as he fights on the boxing-only channel for the third time in succession.

An opponent will be confirmed for McKenna, who is currently training in Marbella under head coach Danny Vaughan, in the near future.

Jamie Conlan, who rose from the canvas in his last fight against Yader Cardoza to win the vacant WBC International Silver title at super-flyweight, is set for a low-key affair ahead of a potential world title eliminator showdown.

The card, topped by Paddy Barnes’ clash with Silvio Olteanu for the vacant WBO European flyweight title, is also blessed with a cracking all-action lightweight clash between Craig Evans and Stephen Ormond as the Welshman defends his WBO European lightweight belt against the Dubliner.

Jono Carroll faces his MTK Global stablemate Johnny Quigley for the vacant IBF European super-featherweight title, David Oliver Joyce makes his professional debut and there will be action for undefeated prospect Lewis Crocker.

Manchester-based Ulsterman Steven Ward will fight for the first time over six rounds, Alex Dickinson will also feature on the bill as he makes his debut and Sean McGlinchey as the 24-year-old is set for his second paid outing.

In other news, Irish super-middleweight champion JJ McDonagh (14-3, 7 KOs) will no longer feature on the May 27 bill at the National Stadium in Dublin.

The WBA International king at light-heavyweight, who knocked out previously undefeated Jake Ball inside a round last November, had been set to feature on the Celtic Clash 2 card, but has been forced to withdraw with a slight hand strain.
