Australia’s #1 ranked Light Middleweight, Frank LoPorto (15-4-2) will likely face Austin “No Doubt” Trout  on November 11th on Showtime’s ShoBox: The New Generation in El Paso, Texas.

Trout was supposed to be facing Japan’s, Yuki Nonaka (21-8-2) but he suffered a broken hand and was forced to withdraw from the fight. Trout is now looking to defend his WBA Light Middleweight title against the current PABA champion.

Trout told Aus-Boxing.com today that the fight is official and its his chance to make a statement. LoPorto's team are waiting to receive the fight contract.

LoPorto last fought Aswin Cabuy in April where he won on towel in round 4.  The winner of the fight is likely to take on the winner of the Anthony Mundine vs Rigoberto Alvarez fight taking place in Newcastle, Australia on October 19th, 2011.

Umm, Austin was willing to take the HBO fight against Lara; however, Lara's team didn't place a real offer on the table, they just talked about Austin as an opponent without going into any serious negotiations.
