Trout Doubts Canelo's Story, Getting Revenge For Brother

By Miguel Rivera

WBA junior middleweight champion Austin Trout (26-0, 14KOs) doubts the story of WBC king Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (41-0-1, 30KOs), who claims he wanted to face Trout in order get revenge for his older brother Rigoberto Alvarez, who Trout decisioned two years ago in Guadalajara for the WBA title. Canelo faces Trout on April 20 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

"To me it's revenge, it's a personal. I was at the fight when Trout beat my brother Rigoberto. I felt that it was necessary to do something, and now [that loss] motivates me to fight him," Canelo said.

Trout questions Canelo's story.

"I beat his brother two years ago and now it’s so important? I’m not buying it. If Canelo was fighting me for revenge, then why wouldn’t he fight the other guys who beat his brother? I’m not the only one," trout said.

Rigoberto is just below an average fighter, no special skills, that Trout won every round of the bout...where's the revenge in that???
