Torben Keller Has The Opportunity To Avenge Zam Zam
Torben Keller (10-0-1, 3 KOs) can avenge countryman Reda Zam Zam’s defeat, when he faces Arman Torosyan (12-0-1, 9 KOs) at the Nordic Fight Night on September 13 at TAP1 in Copenhagen.
“There is no doubt Arman will be the biggest challenge of my career so far," said the undefeated Dane.
Keller has previously trained with Torosyan in Berlin and has a thorough knowledge of the Armenian-born German's abilities.
"You always have to concentrate against Arman. He hits good and he hits hard. He is always dangerous, and he is impossible to knock out. And he doesn’t’ mind taking three punches to land one himself."
Arman Torosyan is not an unknown name for the Danish boxing audience. Last year he ended Reda Zam Zam’s career with a seventh round technical knockout victory at the Nordic Fight Night in Aarhus.
"I remember that fight. Reda out boxed Arman in the first five rounds, but then things went wrong for Reda. Arman has a good jab and a dangerous left hook, but I feel well prepared, and I feel that I'm the better boxer," said the talented light middleweight.
In recent months Keller has teamed up with rising star Abdul Khattab, world star Mikkel Kessler and physical trainer Thomas Macon.
"I have raised my level physically and technically in the last few months. I’ve been improving my jab by sparring Abdul Khattab. His jab is ridiculously good," said the 27 year-old.
When Keller last entered the ring in April, he claimed a technical knockout victory in the fourth round over the unorthodox and dangerous Travis Hartman.
“I’m not looking for another knockout, but I am looking forward to showing my fans how much I have improved. I will show that I have more cards to play than Arman Torosyan.”
Said promoter Nisse Sauerland: "This will be a good test for Torben. Arman is a tough opponent, as he proved against Reda Zam Zam last year. But we are confident in Torben's abilities and a good win will set him on course for a title fight later this year."
The Nordic Fight Night at TAP1 will be shown live on TV3 Sport 2 and TV3 +. Tickets are available via billetnet.dk.
