| Tony Bellew, Frank Warren Beef Could Be Legal Explosion

By Edward Chaykovsky British light heavyweight champion Tony Bellew (17-1, 11KOs) is claiming to have severed ties with promoter Frank Warren, who disputes those claims. Bellew's team have told the ECHO that Warren has received notification of this through email and a hard copy is in the mail. Bellew is now looking to ink a deal with a new promoter as a free agent. However, Warren says Bellew is contracted to his promotional company and to him as his manager. If Bellew attempts to sign with a new promoter, there could be a legal explosion with Warren. “Tony Bellew has a legally binding and exclusive promotional agreement with Frank Warren Promotions Ltd,” Warren said to the paper. “In addition to that he has a British Boxing Board of Control Boxer-Manager agreement with Frank Warren." Ya have to laugh at that one, how Warren is playing the BBBC card, regarding his manager relationship with Bellew, yet treats the BBBC with total contemp, when it suits him! The sham at West Ham for example..it was obvious something was going on, Id say Warren was goin nuts seeing Bellew on Sky, ... |

Bellew is setting a good example for other fighters. Let the promoter know who's boss and if he doesn't listen to you then show him the door. |
