Super bantamweight contender Tomoki Kameda (22-0, 14KOs) has been informed by WBC President Jose Sulaiman that a title shot is coming. On April 28th in Mexico, against an opponent to be determined, Kameda will get a shot at the vacant WBC silver title at 122-pounds. At 20-years-old, Tomoki is the youngest of the fighting Kameda brothers.
"Although there is no opponent, I'm getting ready to fight anyone and I am very grateful to the WBC and Mr. Sulaiman for this opportunity. I am happy to fight here in Mexico City, where I started as an amateur and started my professional career. I will make a good fight for the people who always supported me in this city. I am preparing to give 100% and I'm ready to give my best because after the silver belt I would like to fight for the world championship, so I'm coming very prepared," Kameda said.
