Thurman-Porter Live Scorecard - BROOKLYN, N.Y. – In a few moments, Keith Thurman and Shawn Porter will collide in their anticipated welterweight world title showdown this Saturday, June 25 in primetime as SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING® on CBS, presented by Premier Boxing Champions, comes to Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
New York, New York- The Barclays Center has been synonymous with promoter Lou Dibella as of late. Dibella promoted Deontay Wilder’s January defense at the Brooklyn venue, as well as the all-Brooklyn battle between Danny Jacobs and Peter Quillin in December. Come Saturday night, the fight between Keith Thurman and Shawn Porter may trump all of that and be the best selling fight at Barclays which is becoming one of the prime arenas for boxing, especially on the east coast.
New York, New York - Later tonight, Shawn Porter (26-1, 16KOs) will have his biggest fight to date when he takes on WBA welterweight champion Keith Thurman (26-0, 22KOs). Although the fight has been wanted for more than a year or so, the two men will finally share a ring at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. Both man are coming off long layoffs and according to the trainer and father of Shawn Porter, Ken Porter, that’s the nature of the sport.

NEW YORK – Shawn Porter promised that his performance Saturday night against Keith Thurman won’t at all resemble his ordinary outing against Kell Brook. England’s Brook beat Porter by majority decision to win the IBF welterweight title in August 2014. Porter regrets taking the wrong approach to that 12-round fight at StubHub Center in Carson, California.
NEW YORK – Shawn Porter respects Keith Thurman, but believes he is more prepared to win their welterweight title fight Saturday night at Barclays Center. Porter (26-1-1, 16 KOs) has fought a higher level of opposition overall than Thurman, particularly during the past 2½ years. The Akron, Ohio, native’s lone loss came against unbeaten IBF welterweight champ Kell Brook, who beat him by majority decision in August 2014. He also has recorded victories over three multiple-division title-holders in Adrien Broner, Paulie Malignaggi and Devon Alexander.
