Keith “One Time” Thurman is gearing up to take on Jan Zaveck this Saturday night at the Barclay Center in Brooklyn, NY live on HBO as he plans to continue to make his mark in the Welterweight division.

The fight with Zaveck is not only a continued step up for Thurman but also a WBO Welterweight title eliminator. The current WBO champion is Timothy Bradley who fights March 16th and Thurman shared his thoughts on Bradley when he was on BoxingScene’s official radio show “The Boxing Lab”.

“I’m definitely going to pursue the fight [if I win]. I like Timothy Bradley as a fighter for the most part. I think he works hard. He's truly dedicated. He throws his punches, he's a busy fighter. He comes in shape but if me and him were to step into the ring and mix it up, once again man, my motto is KOs for Life and I see it happening” said Thurman.

Thurman was also asked about a possible fight with Paulie Malignaggi who he’s called out in the past. Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer had previously told BoxingScene that a fight with Lightweight champion Adrien Broner and Paulie Malignaggi was a possibility for June but Thurman hopes he gets the call instead.

“For Paulie fighting a fighter two weight classes under shows he's not truly trying to fight a real welterweight even though I would easily favor Adrien Broner in the fight anyway. To be honest, I want that fight [with Paulie]. I desire that fight 100%. We'll see what happens. I don't like talking too much about the future but I've called him out once before and I'm going to call him out again. He said that I had to prove myself; I believe this is a great fight and a great opportunity. I'm fighting in New York and Paulie is from New York so after the victory comes Saturday night, especially if we perform the way we're supposed to by way of KO or TKO, I'm going to be giving him another shout out” Thurman would tell The Boxing Lab.
