Heavyweight contender Tony Thompson (37-3, 25KOs), age 41, says he is the hungrier fighter when he faces David Price (15-1, 13KOs) in a rematch on July 6th at Echo Arena in Liverpool. On February 23rd, Thompson caused a whirlwind in the heavyweight division when he stopped Price in two rounds.

Im pretty desperate and desperate peope do desperate things and Im going to go out there and show that. My whole career has been a make or break fight. I hear David talk about being in a make-or-break fight and who needs it more," Thompson told the Liverpool Echo.

I honestly feel like I need the fight more. Thats just how I feel. Yes David lost, but despite what I look like he didnt lose to a guy with a losing record. He lost to somebody legitimate and he could use that loss, turn things around and stil go on and do great things in boxing."

thompson does need the win more then price. he is 41 & could use another big payday or 2. price's team had to come up with money to get this rematch after thompson took the first fight for peanuts. thompson had 2 fights with chambers delayed which cost him lots of money. he won't get another shot...
Price can't take a punch so Thompson needs to go out there both guns blazing.
Stupid idea. He needs to do exactly what he did the first time. Wait for Price to open himself if and then land a big hook. Any takers on a bet? I've got a couple of billion on Price. Pm...

Thompson already beat him looking fat and sloppy. If he trains a little more for this one it should be easy work.
