Teon Kennedy Faces Chris Martin - Jan. 13 on ESPN FNF

Las Vegas - Teon Kennedy of Philadelphia will take on Chris 'The San Diego Kid'  Martinin a battle of Top 10 ranked contenders at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino on Friday, January 13.

The ESPN/Top Rank Friday Night boxing card will also include unbeaten, hard-hitting Jesse Magdaleno of Las Vegas and undefeated Gabino Saenz of Indio, California. Magdaleno, trained by Pat Barry and Augie Sanchez, will be in a six round bout. Saenz will take on Gil Garcia of Houston in a six round match.

Tickets at $75, $50 and $25 will go on sale Wednesday, December 14, 5 pm. Tickets are will be available at the Hard Rock Box Office, 4455 Paradise Road, Las Vegas, all Ticketmaster locations, online at Ticketmaster.com or charge-by-phone at 800-745-3000.
 
Kennedy, promoted by Peltz Boxing, and Martin compete in the super bantamweight division. Kennedy has a record of 17-1-1, 7 KOs. Martin is 23-1-2 with 6 KOs. The main event is scheduled for 10 rounds.

Kennedy is ranked IBF #7, Martin is IBF #9 at 122 pounds.
 
Other attractions on the Top Rank card include hard-punching super lightweight Yordenis Ugas, 10-0, of Miami, Las Vegas fan favorite Anthony Lenk, 12-1, and the return of popular Angel Flores, 10-4 of Las Vegas. 

First bell is at 5 pm.

Hopefully Teon has recovered from the clinic that Mexican gave him.
