Team Vazquez Wait For Donaire Fight Confirmation

Hollywood, Florida - Felix "Tutico" Zabala, owner of the Florida based promotional company, All Star Boxing, advised us that he's waiting for confirmation from Bob Arum of Top Rank, regarding a super bantamweight clash between Wilfredo Vasquez Jr. (21-1-1, 18KOs), and "Filipino Flash" Nonito Donaire (27-1, 18KOs).

Arum, who promotes Donaire and co-promotes Vazquez with Zabala, made a request to the WBO to sanction a Donaire-Vazquez bout for the vacant super bantamweight title. The fight is possibly going to happen in February 2012.

“We are ready to make this fight. Bob Arum asked the WBO to sanction this fight and the title is now vacant. We are only waiting for confirmation from the WBO and Top Rank to make it. We are waiting for their replies on this matter and we will immediately work out the terms of the fight," Zabala said.

Interesting fight and a lot more close than the casual fan may think.

vasquez was beaten black and blue by has-been arce, how can he survive in the hands of donaire? vasquez hasn't stand a chance against the filipino flash...

This fight should be a good fight it's looking like a good 2012 so far you got Berto vs Ortiz in jan Lopez and Salido in early 2012 and now this Vazquez vs Flash hell yeah bring it.
