Team Trout Offer Anthony Mundine 12/31 Showtime Date

By David "Los Gatos" Rosenberg

BoxingScene.com has been advised that Austin Trout's management has offered Anthony Mundine a fight date of December 31 on Showtime. The network is planning a major New Year's Eve card, which may include a middleweight unification between champions Daniel Geale and Dmitry Pirog. Showtime expressed interest in having Trout (23-0, 13KOs) face Mundine (43-4, 25KOs) on the card. A few days ago Mundine won a twelve round decision over Rigoberto Alvarez to become the mandatory challenger to Trout's WBA "regular" junior middleweight title.

Trout is already scheduled to defend his title against Frank LoPorto on Showtime on November 11.

Mundine should fight sam soliman for the 9th time to settle the score finally.

There is no reason for Mundine to tase this fight on short notice, he has just fought he needs around 1-2 months off and then a 8 week camp to prepare.

Haha Oh No! Now only Waiting for Anthony to change his phone number and say that no-one told him about this offer and that everyone is ducking him. Good news- My nanna is still in training and now has her…

Mundine better not b*tch out this time...I got Trout by lopsided UD. Geale-Pirog is the fight I wanna see. Pirog didn't really deserve a shot at Martinez before, but with a win over Geale he certainly would.
