| Team Saldivia Attempting To Bring Kell Brook To Argentina

By Rick Reeno Discussions are ongoing to finalize a deal for a mandated IBF welterweight eliminator between Kell Brook (28-0, 18 KOs) and Hector Saldivia (41-2, 32 KOs). The two promoters, Eddie Hearn and Sampson Lewkowicz, are holding the line in terms of the location. Hearn has presented an offer to bring Saldivia to Sheffield on October 6th. Lewkowicz has countered back and "made a generous offer" to bring Brook to Argentina. If the two sides are unable to reach an agreement, the fight will head to a purse bid - which Lewkowicz feels very confident of winning. "We are still talking. I would love to bring this fight to Argentina. We made a generous offer to Brook. If we can't reach a deal, the IBF will send the fight to a purse bid," Lewkowicz told BoxingScene.com. Brook showed his ability to remain calm under Jones' attacks and used his good footwork to manoeuvre out of the way. Everything that could go wrong, bar a loss, did go wrong for Brook.
