On the latest edition of BoxingScene Radio Ruslan Provodnikov's manager Vadim Kornilov informed us that a request has been to over turn the Siberian's unanimous decision loss to WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley.

This past Saturday Provodnikov gave Bradley all he could handle in losing a close decision. The 29-year-old fighter knocked Bradley down in the first round but referee Pat Russell ruled that Bradley slipped and didn't count the knock down. If the knock down was counted the extra point would have resulted in the fight ending in a majority draw or possibly a first round knockout victory for Provonikov since Bradley fell down as he attempted to rise to his fight after the knock down was ruled a slip.

"We've submitted a request to the (California) Commission and to the WBO to review the fight.  The judges were all from California but we don't have a problem with them. I can see the scores they had but we have a problem with the referee.   You have to be out of your mind to rule that a slip when a guy flips over himself like that.  He made a mistake and that mistake may have ruined Bradley's career.  To help out the home town guy he had him sent to the hospital in an ambulance and because of that the title was taken from Ruslan."
