There are reports that the welterweight showdown between WBA welterweight belt-holder Keith 'One Time' Thurman and former IBF beltholder 'Showtime' Shawn Porter will land on March 5th in Las Vegas.

But Kenny Porter, the father/trainer/manager of 'Showtime' Porter told BoxingScene.com on Friday - "This is news to me. As of this point in time we don't have a date, time or place."

This fight has been talked about for several months and it was originally scheduled to take place in December then moved back a couple of times.

"I have an agreement from the people that are involved with putting the fight together that it's going to happen but we don't have an agreement from Keith,"said Porter, who's son last fought on June 20th, defeating Adrien Broner in Las Vegas.

When asked if they were getting impatient or frustrated, Porter answered:

"We're definitely ready and we're waiting for the phone call that confirms the information that is being put out there. We need confirmation on that. Confirmation of that would be a signed contract by Keith Thurman."

Thurman was last in action back in July in Tampa, Florida, when he stopped Luis Collazo in the headline fight of the Premier Boxing Champions [PBC] debut on ESPN.
