Marcos Maidana has enjoying his family time, but he's still focused on landing a rematch of his May welterweight unification showdown with Floyd Mayweather Jr. The unbeaten Mayweather is reportedly on course for a scheduled return on September 13th, possibly at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Maidana's adviser Sebastian Contursi, has scheduled a meeting for next week with their team adviser, Al Haymon, who also works with Mayweather.

"Next week I will meet with Al Haymon in Los Angeles to talk about the next fight for Maidana. So far we are all back from vacation, so we have not yet addressed the issue of the next opponent," said Contursi.

"What we expect, what 'Chino' Maidana is expecting, is that Mayweather rematch - because we believe that is something that is easily deserved. The truth is, Maidana is the boxer who has given Floyd one of the most competitive fights in his career and also in the last couple years."
