Team Lebedev Eye Huck Rematch in Russia After Jones

By Ryan Burton

In a recent article on BoxingScene.com, Denis Lebedev's co-manager Vadim Kornilov said that they would look at a rematch against WBO cruiserweight champion Marco Huck if Lebedev is successful in his rematch against Guillermo Jones on Friday.

Huck (37-2-1, 26KOs) defeated Lebedev (25-2, 19KOs) via split decision in 2010 in a fight that could have gone either way.  Kornilov feels that powerful Russian promoter Andrei Ryabinsky, who promotes Lebedev and has won several high profile purse bids, would try to stage a potential Huck-Lebedev 2 clash on Russian soil.

"Denis is promoted by Ryabinsky now and I think he would definitely try to put the fight in Russia because he is trying to promote the Russian market right now and I think he is doing a great job.  As you have seen over the last year he has done a great job developing Russian fighters and the Russian boxing market. If a fight in Russia can't happen we will try to get a fight on neutral territory.  We saw what happened in the first fight," Kornilov told BoxingScene.com.

yea but Diablo is not a ***** like Huck. Huck will fight some guy from Argentina next, Diablo has been calling him for years and is willing to go to germany but they want nothing to do with that.

[QUOTE=giacomino;14462453]Lebedev knows this won't happen. Huck hasn't fought outside of Germany since he first fought for a title in 2007. He got a gift in Germany vs Lebedev. No way he'd come to Russia and take a chance of losing…
