Bernd Boente, manager of WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko, said his fighter is interested in finishing the job that his younger brother started last Saturday in Hamburg, Germany. Wladimir Klitschko, the WBO/IBO/WBA/IBF heavyweight champion, won a twelve round decision over Haye.

In a recent interview, Haye discussed the possibility of securing a rematch with Wladimir, and said the younger Klitschko might be motivated for a rematch in order to pursue a win by knockout.

Boente says Wladimir is not interested in a rematch or the pursuit of a knockout win, but older brother Vitali is willing to finish off the British boxer. Vitali defends his WBC title on September 10 in Wroclaw against Tomasz Adamek. If Vitali wins, Boente says a fight with Haye could happen later in the year or early next year.

"Vitali said that he would be interested in knocking Haye out. The fight could happen later this year or early next year. A rematch between Wladimir and Haye has been ruled out," Boente said.
