Team Khan Expect The Assault Case To Be Dropped

As BoxingScene.com previously reported, WBC silver welterweight champion Amir Khan was arrested by police over an incident Friday in which two 19-year-old men were allegedly assaulted.

However, a spokesman for the 27-year-old former WBA and IBF light welterweight champion said he expected the case would be dropped.

Greater Manchester Police said officers were called to a street in Khan’s hometown of Bolton in northwest England at about 1:30am local time on Friday.

Officers “discovered two 19-year-old men had been assaulted. Their injuries are not serious. A 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of two ... assaults.” He was taken into custody for questioning.

A spokesman for the Olympic silver medal winner confirmed he had been quizzed by officers but added:

“It was a minor incident and we’re expecting the case to be dropped against Amir,” the spokesman said. “We’re expecting to formally hear that from police on Monday morning.”

How funny. Khan gets knocked out by a 14-year old and refuses to press charges.

Funny how people have such strong opinions about what happened without actually having a clue, and I don't care what might have been said in the community as that's no doubt biased and could be from his mates or the…

[QUOTE=Badzi87;14727045]There is no point in trying to convince people who just hate Khan for no f*cking reason whatsoever, He was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. Khan's friend was the one who had this altercation, he was…
