Vladimir Hryunov, manager of Khabib Allakhverdiev (19-1, 9KOs), tells BoxingScene.com that his boxer wants a rematch, as soon as possible, with Jessie Vargas (24-0, 9KOs). This past Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Vargas outpointed Khabib to win the IBO and WBA 'regular' junior welterweight titles. The scores were 115-113, 115-113, 117-111.

Many of the writers on press row had scored the fight in favor of Khabib, including HBO's unofficial scorer Harold Lederman.

Hryunov, who believes his fighter clearly won a decision, spoke to Top Rank's CEO, Bob Arum, who gave Hryunov "his word" that a rematch would be coming.

"I spoke to Bob Arum. He said I have his word that a rematch will happen. We were honored to be a part of such a huge event and to fight on the same card as Manny Pacquiao, but now we are looking forward to a rematch with Vargas," Hryunov told BoxingScene.com.
