Team Gonzalez Make Offer To Secure Orlando Salido Clash

By Ernesto Castellanos, notifight.com

Promoter Reginaldo Kuchle, who handles WBC featherweight champion Jhonny Gonzalez (52-7, 45KOs), reportedly made a lucrative offer to Zanfer Promotions to put together a unification with WBO beltholder Orlando Salido (38-11-2, 26KOs).

In the last few days, the two fighters called each other out.

"He wants the fight. Jhonny said that's his goal. We, as the [promoters of] Jhonny are positioning him [for that goal] and made an offer to Salido," Kuchle said.

Kuchle said that he expects to meet with Fernando Beltran of Zanfer, Salido's promoter, to reach a deal.

"Let them set the date of the fight. The venue is not important, it's a great fight and everyone will want it," he added.
