Undefeated WBC 154-pound world champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (39-0-1, 29KOs) is a few days away from the biggest defense of his career. On Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, he faces former three division world champion "Sugar" Shane Mosley. Alvarez has continued training at a private gym in Las Vegas to remain in excellent physical shape.

"This is the longest preparation that we have done. Mosley will not know where to go when he feels the punches of Canelo," said trainer Chepo Reynoso.

The champion and his team of Chepo and Edison Reynoso, and former champion Oscar Larios, are very optimistic and believe the strength and speed of the 21-year-old boxer will be a lethal combination for Mosley, who has never been knocked out.

In two months of intense preparation, the boxer had 129 rounds of sparring, with four minute rounds, against 6 different sparring partners, including former champion Steve Forbes. At one point, Canelo put in 41 days of work without rest.

Canelo and his camp seem to be drastically underestimating Mosley, as have a lot of fans/pundits/experts/critics. Don't count out Shane Mo...

[QUOTE=garfios]Molina didn't beat Lara stop that BS, he made the fight ugly and managed to get a fair draw because he didn't deserve to lose either, but he got clocked by Lara and was hurt toward the end of the fight, Molina got lucky that fought an out of shape and sick Lara, again not Molina's ...

SweetSciencePHD I wouldn't be surprised if Shane pulled off the "upset." Those factors that you mentioned accounts for good logic. Plus, fighters like Canelo are made for Shane to land on (that are somewhat stationary and likes to trade). Shane has power but I'm going to guess that Canelo has mor...
