| Team Bute: No Cloud or Pavlik; Pascal-Cloud in 2012
|
|
By Rick Reeno Don Majeski, matchmaker for IBF 168-pound champion Lucian Bute, told BoxingScene.com that Bute (29-0, 24KOs) is not going to face the IBF's 175-pound champion, Tavoris Cloud (23-0, 19KOs), on November 5th. In an earlier report on BoxingScene, Cloud's trainer Al Bonani stated that Majeski reached out to explore a possible Bute-Cloud encounter for the fall. No chance, says Majeski - and Kelly Pavlik is no longer a consideration after turning down a guarantee of $1.35 million dollars. "Lucian Bute is waiting to fight the winner of the Super Six. Bute is not looking to move up in weight," Majeski told BoxingScene.com. Majeski, who also works alongside former light heavyweight champion Jean Pascal (26-2, 16KOs), advised BoxingScene that Cloud was a strong possibility for a January fight. You're a racist pos, and you pretend you like black fighters when you don't. You called me a black crackhead for saying Bute's a cherry picker and I'm not even black. ****ing racist pos. |

There has to be someone good Bute can fight like Kessler or Dirrell, I refuse to accept anymore that he can't find a good opponent like Johnson or even Stieglitz because they are occupied so then he just fights another bum like Mendy. |

Bute needs to sit tight. Kessler in a unification 1st would be good after he beats Sartison. The winner of that face the winner of S6. |
Is that a legit excuse? "I wasn't picked first," or picked whatever number
Who would forget to invite a WC in a tournament ? Nobody, unless you don't want him to hurt your cash cows... It's ok to make money, but we want to see the best boxers fighting each other, righ... |
