| Szpilka's Injured Hand Prevents Zimnoch Showdown

By Luke Furman Heavyweights Artur Szpilka (13-0, 10 KOs) and Krzysztof Zimnoch (13-0-1, 10 KOs) will not collide as many had expected on February 23rd in Poland as part of the Golota-Saleta undercard. Szpilka fought two weeks ago in Chicago and he went to war with Mike Mollo, but he injured his left hand. Szpilka vs. Zimnoch was gaining steam after the two of them had a scuffle at the press conference to announce Golota-Saleta. Szpilak will likely return on April 20th. Zimnoch will probably fight late replacement Damian Trzcińskim (4-2, 2 KOs). Luke Furman covers boxing for bokser.org. Adamek Szpilka wont happen anytime soon, Szpilkas trainer wont allow it and Adamek sees nothing for him in that fight. And this thread is bs, the real reason is that 4th round knockdown, he need some time off after that, he cant just go start sparring the day after, thats why they called off the ... |

Hard to say, given Adamek's recent drinking problems and loss of form.
Might be the right time for Szpilka to get a big win. |
