The recent decision win by 25-year-old Polish heavyweight contender Artur Szpila (17-1, 12 KOs), over former two-division world champion Tomasz Adamek (49-4, 29 KOs), has caught the attention of powerful manager Al Haymon.
"After the fight, I received some very nice e-mails from Al Haymon, currently the most powerful manager in the world. He wrote that he watched the fight with Artur, he liked it, and a few other things like that," stated Szpilka's promoter Andrzej Wasilewski to the Polish Times.
No word if Haymon plans to offer Szpilka a deal. During 2014, Haymon signed an army of fighters to his stable, which is reportedly at least 130 boxers strong. Haymon has been signing fighters from every corners of the globe, including Poland. He signed Polish light heavyweight Andrzej Fonfara and several Polish prospects, including Patryk Szymanski.
