Polish slugger Artur Szpilka (16-0, 12 KOs) is highly motivated to make a statement on January 25 at the Theater in New York's Madison Square Garden. Szpilka will take on fellow unbeaten Bryant Jennings (17-0, 9 KOs). The fight will be televised by HBO and headlined by a super featherweight title fight between Mikey Garcia and Juan Carlos Burgos. Szpilka will use veteran Kevin Johnson, among others, to help him prepare.

"I have always had high ambitions and I try to aim as high as possible. So I'm glad that I got this opportunity. Jennings has a good defense. And his long hands also help him, but we will try to hinder him with everything and draw on a counterattack. He's similar to Kevin Johnson. I'm really excited. I'm going to pound on his body until he finally drops. I just hope that Jennings is not going to look for a way out [of this fight], by coming up with some injury just before the fight," Szpilka said.
