Sulaiman is Open To Jhonny Gonzalez-Salvador Sanchez
By J. Arturo Contrera, notifight.com
Mauricio Sulaiman, the executive secretary of the World Boxing Council, is open to the idea of a possible fight between WBC featherweight champion Jhonny Gonzalez (52-7, 45KOs) and the CABOFE champ Salvador Sanchez II (29-4-3, 17KOs), who returns to action on Saturday in Polanco.
The promoters for Gonzalez are exploring his options and Sanchez has been mentioned as a potential July opponent.
Sulaiman doesn't see an issue with approving the fight, because Sanchez holds a number ten ranking and Gonzalez is entering a period where he's capable of making a voluntary defense.
Sanchez 9though he uses Jr is a nephew, not son of the great Salvador) is not deserving....would b target practice 4 Jhonny...Comment by any craic lad? on 05-11-2012

They've resorted to digging up dead guys to fight him? Still, a skeleton would be better than that Caballero guy he fought.Post a Comment/View More User Comments (4)
