Mauricio Sulaiman, the executive secretary of the World Boxing Council, is open to the idea of a possible fight between WBC featherweight champion Jhonny Gonzalez (52-7, 45KOs) and the CABOFE champ Salvador Sanchez II (29-4-3, 17KOs), who returns to action on Saturday in Polanco.

The promoters for Gonzalez are exploring his options and Sanchez has been mentioned as a potential July opponent.

Sulaiman doesn't see an issue with approving the fight, because Sanchez holds a number ten ranking and Gonzalez is entering a period where he's capable of making a voluntary defense.

They've resorted to digging up dead guys to fight him? Still, a skeleton would be better than that Caballero guy he fought.
