World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman is worried that fans from all corners of the world will get fed up - once and for all - if a deal is not reached for a May 2nd super-fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao.
There are ongoing discussions for the two boxers to finally square off, with the WBC/WBA/WBO welterweight titles on the line.
This is not the first time where promoters attempted to finalize a fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao. There have been attempts since 2010 to get these two superstars in the ring.
"I hope they make it. There can't be any egos and the people [negotiating] are only looking at the business side. I feel there are the egos involved and economically there is so much money involved that everyone can have their egos satisfied. It is a necessary fight. I think if it does not happen soon, then people are going to get tired or even give up [on the fight ever happening]. Right now there are so many fight combinations being discussed, that the public will move on [to something else if there is no deal]," Sulaiman said.
