Sulaiman Furious With Frank Warren on Haye-Chisora

The World Boxing Council threatened Friday to expel "any person or institution" that is involved in staging the controversial fight between British heavyweights David Haye and Dereck Chisora.

The July 14 fight in London, which was licensed by the Luxembourg Boxing Federation, was scheduled after the pair's infamous brawl at the news conference that followed Chisora's loss to Vitali Klitschko in Germany in February.

Chisora, who also slapped the Ukrainian heavyweight prior to a heroic defeat in the WBC title fight, was stripped of his British license following the controversies. He appealed the decision and will have his case heard in July.

Haye surrendered his British license when he announced his retirement last October in the wake of a humbling defeat to Vladimir Klitschko.

But the fighters' moves to face off in the ring led to wide criticism of both men, along with fury at the Luxembourg federation for sanctioning the bout in the absence of British authorization.

The WBC warning placed the council firmly in support of the British Boxing Board of Control, which earlier issued a warning that anyone helping Haye or Chisora put the fight on would be assumed to have handed in their British licenses.

"We will expel Luxembourg from our organization ... as well as any person or institution that has relations with them," WBC president Jose Sulaiman confirmed in a letter to the BBBC, published Friday by the British board.

"We will not condone such a disgraceful behavior [from Chisora] after seeing that this boxer has no idea of what good behavior is, by accepting to participate in the intent to [threaten] and embarrass the organization of boxing with such an act," Sulaiman said.

"I am sure the European Boxing Union is on the verge of a strong position against Luxembourg; I am also furious with the promoter who is trying to blast the ethics, honesty and seriousness of the sport of boxing," he added.

This is the same assclown who stole Sergio Martinez' belt so Chavez Jr. could be a paper champion and has broken all the rules so Jr. could hang onto it. And he talks about something being a disgrace? Wish more fighters could tell the alphabet turds like Sulaiman to eff off!

They are all banned until the WBC can make some money off of them.

the WBC is the biggest joke in boxing. why anything Jose Sulaiman says or does is reported is beyond me. I think if the boxing community just ignores him maybe the WBC will go away.
