From what BoxingScene.com/Netboxe has learned, the World Boxing Council is considering the possibility of involving a heavyweight eliminator between Bermane Stiverne (20-1-1) and Ray Austin (28-5-4).

Stiverne, a protégé of Don King, grabbed the WBC International and USNBC titles on January 29, and the Fedelatin title of the WBA by defeating Kertson Manswell by TKO in the 2nd round. He is currently ninth in the world under the WBC.

As for Ray Austin, he is ranked 5th in the WBC. In his most recent battle he fought in December 2010, and was disqualified in the 10th round after hitting his rival, Odlanier Solis, after the bell. This fight was also an eliminator for the WBC title. Solis then lost by KO in the first round against the WBC champion, Vitali Klitschko, after injured his knee during a knockdown.

The fight between Bermane Stiverne and Ray Austin is possibly going to happen on the 25th of June in Las Vegas.
