Stieglitz-Sartison Card; Konecny-Bayram in May; Friso

By Per Ake Persson

French light heavyweight Tony Averlant, who fights Artur Hein for the EU title on Saturday, goes for the vacant national title on June 24 against Medhi Amar. Amar is currently sparring Hassan N´Dam, who defends the WBA interim middleweight title on Saturday against Giovanni Lorenzo.

SES features many new faces on the undercard to the Robert Stieglitz vs. Dimitri Sartison show April 9 in Magdeburg. Jr. middleweight Mathias Zemski 1-0, light heavy Dominic Boesel 2-0, local man Tommy Altmann 12-1-1 and Mike Keta, 9-1 are all on the bill along with more established prospects such as "Golden" Jack Culcay and Haxhi Krasniqi.

SES will also promote EBU jr middleweight champ Lukas Konecny´s defence against Husseyn Bayram from France. The fight will go ahead either May 14 or 21 with site to be announced.

Former Italian heavyweight champ Federico Friso has passed away in Abano at the age of 80. Friso fought in a good era where stars had to face each other and wound up with more losses than wins but was in tough fighting all over Europe.
