Javan 'Sugar' Hill, trainer of WBC light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson (25-1, 21KOs), is 100% confident that his boxer will score a knockout win over WBA/WBO/IBF champion Sergey Kovalev (26-0-1, 23KOs).

Kovalev is facing Jean Pascal on March 14th at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. The World Boxing Council has ordered Stevenson to face the winner of that fight. Stevenson has already picked Kovalev to defeat Pascal, by knockout, and wants to face the dangerous Russian next. Stevenson will return in April against an opponent to be determined.

"Personally, I have one hundred percent confidence in Adonis Stevenson to knock Sergey Kovalev out. I don’t have a prediction of a round, but for every fight that Adonis trains for, he trains for a knock out, it’s not just to win but to get a knock out. So it’s nothing new that we’re training for to knock Sergey Kovalev out. If he is our opponent, that’s what we’re training for, a knock out," Hill told On The Ropes Boxing Radio .
