IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence (22-0) has been biding his time since his May stoppage victory over Kell Brook to capture the title.
The victory was Spence's coming out party and now he wants to face all of the the big names. There have been talks of a potential Dallas homecoming fight but he made it clear that he would bypass a fight at home for a big fight against one of the division's top fighters like Danny Garcia.
"It feels good by there still is a lot to accomplish. There are still a lot of belts out there and names or there. I want to be number one in everybody's eyes. I have to beat the top fighters in the division and that is something I am willing to do," said Spence.
Another big match up that Spence is craving is a unification against fellow unbeaten fighter Keith Thurman whom holds the WBA and WBC welterweight titles. Thurman unified titles in March when he best Danny Garcia via split decision. He had subsequent surgery on his right elbow and will likely be out of the ring until at least December.
While Spence is very interested in the fight, he isn't holding his breathe that it will happen this year.
"Only Keith Thurman can tell you that. He is coming off of surgery right now. Then he might want a tune up but hopefully after that we can get it on," Spence explained.
The last remaining title, the WBO, is held by newly crowned beltholder Jeff Horn, who upset Manny Pacquiao earlier this month at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, Australia. There is a rematch clause in the contract, so the two boxers will likely face each other once again in the fall.
