Italian Domenico Spada (38-4, 19KOs) is very eager to arrive in Mexico to fight Marco Antonio Rubio (58-6-1, 50KOs) for the WBC middleweight interim title on April 5, in Chihuahua, Mexico. "Vulcano" stressed that he’s ready for the fight, knowing the fans will be rooting for Rubio on his turf.

“I’ll be facing a brave fighter in Rubio - a great rival who will be at home on his turf, but I’ve undergone a tremendous and meticulous preparation so that won’t matter. I WILL return to Italy with the title! I’ve been working hard to conquer that belt. I will dedicate this fight to Italy,” he declared.

Spada lost twice to Zbik (the first questionable). He's not beating Rubio in Mexico. He is being brought in to lose
This is actually a big fight for Rubio. Winning an interim belt could give him some credibility. Wouldn't be surprised if he takes on the loser of Cotto/Martinez if of course either fighter decides to continue fighting.
Why the loser? He wants the winner

Spada is the question. If he gets by Rubio, we might have sometbing.
