Srisaket Sor Rungvisai is ripped and ready for the second defense of his 115 lb. title, which also serves as his first career fight outside of Asia. The streaking Thai knockout artist travels to Mexico to face Carlos Cuadras, the undefeated mandatory challenger.

Both fighters came in just below the divisional limit, each weighing 114.8 lb for their scheduled 12-round headliner, which airs live on Televisa from Sala de Armas Agustín Melgar in Mexico City.

Sor Rungvisai (27-3-1, 25KO) has won 26 straight since stumbling out to a 1-3-1 career start. The 27-year old southpaw became champion with a minor upset of Yota Sato, scoring an 8th round knockout to unseat the visiting champion last May.

Saturday night will mark his 9th bout since winning the title, but just his second title defense as he regularly engages in stay-busy bouts, normally above the super flyweight division and against made-to-order competition.

Cuadras (29-0, 24KO) solidified his position as the top contender to Sor Rungvisai's title with a 7th round knockout of Victor Zaleta last March. The 25-year old has patiently awaited a title shot, taking a stay-busy fight last New Year's Eve in Japan just for the sake of not growing stale.

Extended negotiations between camps caused the delay in the mandatory title fight happening any sooner. Promociones del Pueblo eventually won the right to promote the fight, hosting the event as part of its ongoing 'Sabado de Corona' boxing series on Televisa.
