Showtime’s Executive Vice President of sports and event programming, Stephen Espinoza, advised BoxingScene.com that his network does not have a deal in place with any promotional company - Golden Boy Promotions, TMT Promotions or otherwise - for the date of November 17th.

"Naturally, as part of the course of conduct I have a variety of different discussions with various promoters. In general, I don't like to disclose the specifics of any of those discussions publicly. What I can say is that I have no deal in place with any promoter for any event on November 17th," Espinoza told BoxingScene.com.

BoxingScene reported over the weekend that TMT Promotions were looking to stage their first event on the date of November 17th, on Showtime. The newly formed company, run by rapper turned promoter 50 Cent, is looking to do a doubleheader featuring Yuriorkis Gamboa (21-0, 16KOs) and Andre Dirrell (20-1, 14KOs).

However, BoxingScene was later advised that Golden Boy was also looking to stage a Showtime televised event on November 17th.

While both parties have had discussions with the network, Espinoza makes it clear that neither promoter, or any other party, has a finalized deal for the previously mentioned November date.

"I've had discussions with both of them about [that date] and other dates. But there is nothing finalized with either of those promoters or any other promoter for an event on November 17th," Espinoza said.
