Shane Mosley: Haters Motivate Me, I'll Dominate Canelo!

By Osman Rodriguez

"Sugar" Shane Mosley (46-7-1, 39KOs), 40-years-old, feels very motivated ahead of his May 5th clash with WBC junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (39-0-1, 29KOs).

Mosley, who lost three of his last six, is a huge underdog. Most fans and media members expect the 21-year-old champion to walk away with the biggest win of his young career.

“The haters are what keep me motivated.  Domination is on my mind. I want to be the best I can be and showcase my strengths. I feel young, but I have the wisdom of an older fighter," Mosley said.

“Canelo will be surprised when he’s not fighting the 40-year-old he thinks I am. Some media members might be overlooking me because of my age. I’m considered an underdog.  I like being the underdog and proving people that I am not."

The former three division champion is not thinking victory - he wants to dominate the younger fighter and prove the many doubters wrong.

“I’m not going to rule the fight, I’m going to dominate. I will be the first fighter to beat Canelo," Mosley said.

Alvarez-Mosley is the HBO pay-per-view co-feature to the junior middleweight clash between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Miguel Cotto. The event takes place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

[QUOTE=Rip Chudd;12032882]Maybe it's because I don't think much of Cinnamon, but Mosley has a real shot in this fight. I'll be taking bets if anyone is interested and thinks Canelo is gonna steamroll Mosley. 1 billion per bet, just pm…

Why are people haters if they happen to think Canelo will. I don't dislike Shane at all but he's got a very tough night ahead of him against Canelo. I could see a late stoppage win for Alvarez.

[QUOTE=Poonpuppy;12032807]Pretty much. He hasn't looked good in awhile. But he looked pretty bad against Mayorga until the final round where he KO'd him and than in his next fight he shocked the world when he dominated Marg. Maybe he can…

Canelo is toast in this one as long as Mosley doesn't wear the same boots as the Pac fight! The dude was fighting on one leg and still didnt get KO'd!
