The financial dispute continues between strength and conditioning coach Alex Ariza, and members of Amir Khan's team. Last week, BoxingScene.com blew the story wide open when Ariza explained how members of Team Khan allegedly broke into his hotel room and stole the contract that he had with Amir. Ariza is claiming that he's owed money from the work that did with Amir for last December's "fight of the year" decision win over Marcos Maidana.
Amir's father, Shah Khan, told Bolton News: “It is nonsense to say we owe Ariza money. We have no contract with him, our deal is with Freddie Roach (Amir’s coach) and Freddie pays whoever is the conditioning coach. It (Ariza's departure) was on the cards for a while. There were issues around the time of the last bout which may have been on Amir’s mind going into the fight.”
