Heavyweight contender Seth Mitchell (26-1, 19KOs) is not paying any attention to the trash talk that is coming from Chris Arreola (35-3, 30KOs). The two punchers will collide on September 7th at Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California. The NABO and WBC International heavyweight titles will be at stake. While they are contracted to different promoters, both fighters are managed by Al Haymon. Showtime will televise the fight.
"I don't know exactly how the fight came into play, but it's a fight that I've been talking about amongst my team and my trainer for the last year and a half. I don't talk a lot and do a lot of name-calling, but I knew that this was a possible fight, a fight in the making. It just so happened that it came together. It's a great fight for the fans, it's a great fight for the heavyweight division," Mitchell said to BoxingScene.com.
"Chris Arreola don't want to lose two fights in a row and that's why I'm preparing for the best Chris Arreola. I always wanted to be where the stakes are high and this is a high stakes fight. The winner moves on to bigger and better things and the loser starts over. [All of that talking from Arreola shows] nervous energy. He knows that he's in for a fight. Nervous energy, it doesn't bother me at all."
