In what is the true definition of a crossroads battle, former WBC junior middleweight champion Sergio Mora, 37, will collide in the ring with Alfredo Angulo, 35, in an eight round fight on April 7 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The contest, which is going to pit ex-sparring partners against each other, will take place at the super middleweight limit of 168-pounds - as part of the non-televised portion of Showtime's televised card.
Nobody knows Daniel Jacobs (32-1, 29 KOs) better than his most recent opponent, former world champion Sergio Mora. Mora fought Jacobs twice since last August. In their first fight, in August of 2015, both fighters went down in the first round. Mora went down again in the second, and fractured his ankle in the process and was unable to continue. Jacobs was awarded the victory by TKO.
Middleweight world champion Daniel 'The Miracle Man' Jacobs (32-1, 29 KOs) retained his title and knocked down former world champion Sergio "The Latin Snake" Mora (28-5-2, 9 KOs) five times on his way to a seventh-round TKO in the main event of Premier Boxing Champions on Spike Friday night from Santander Arena in Reading, Pa.
Santander Arena, in Reading, Pa. - WBA 'regular' middleweight world champion Daniel 'The Miracle Man' Jacobs (32-1, 29 KOs) left no doubt as he retained his title with a seventh round stoppage in his rematch with former world champion Sergio "The Latin Snake' Mora (28-5-2, 9 KOs), who went down five times.

By Keith Idec - Daniel Jacobs seemingly should be one of boxing’s biggest stars. The WBA world middleweight champion possesses power that has resulted in him knocking out 88 percent of his opponents since the former New York Golden Gloves champion turned pro in December 2007. Even casual boxing...
READING, PA. - Middleweight world champion Daniel "The Miracle Man" Jacobs and former champion Sergio "The Latin Snake" Mora went face-to-face at the official weighin before their world championship rematch that headlines Premier Boxing Champions on Spike Friday, September 9 from Santander Arena in Reading, Pa.
Daniel Jacobs acknowledges that his rematch with Sergio Mora on Friday night wouldn’t have been scheduled if he had his way. He would’ve preferred fighting WBO title-holder Billy Joe Saunders in a middleweight championship unification fight, but Saunders (23-0, 12 KOs) wasn’t nearly as interested in it. And while appealing from the standpoint of potentially strengthening his legacy, Jacobs contends a showdown with fellow middleweight knockout artist Gennady Golovkin (35-0, 32 KOs) wouldn’t have paid him what he thinks that admittedly dangerous fight is worth.
by David P. Greisman - A span of eight days will bring three fights involving three of the top names in the middleweight division: the lineal champion, Canelo Alvarez; the best 160-pound fighter in the world, Gennady Golovkin; and contender Daniel Jacobs. Only one of those fights will actually involve a middleweight...
