Promoter Lou DiBella was sick to his stomach after hearing the three scorecards for Saturday's fight between junior middleweights Paul Williams and Erislandy Lara. After twelve completed rounds at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, Williams was awarded a very controversial majority decision. Most observers, including the unofficial cards by HBO, had Lara well ahead on points.

Williams was returning for the first time since last year's brutal two round knockout loss to Sergio Martinez, who DiBella promotes. Other than heart, DiBella saw very little in Williams' performance.

"I love Paul Williams, but that wasn't the same Paul Williams and he didn't win. Showed heart, but little else," DiBella said.

As far as the scorecards, DiBella said the following - "Horrendous and disgraceful. The terrible part of the sport that makes me doubt my life choices. So why is boxing in trouble? Bullsh*t. By the way, Williams didn't rob Lara. Three men scored without watching [the fight]. States need to take action on awful judges."

Williams is now calling for a third with Martinez, who faces Darren Barker in October.

in another article, bs wrote martinez said they should pair williams up with cotto or dzinziruk. i'd like to see a lara rematch or cotto for williams next. no way a 3rd martinez/williams fight should happen.

Lou likens himself to be a savior of boxing ...but he's just as venal privately as some are publicly.....he's been crying wolf since the b-hop lawsuit, since his marriage fell apart....since employees ditched him... he's a fat man with a fatter ego in a small apartment who talks a good game as...

Martinez might kill him next time. Last time P.will was in a rematch that he originally really lost but got a gift decision, he got KO'd, i think they will keep him away from Lara aswell.
