Sergio Martinez Returns in July, Then November on PPV

By Bill Emes was advised by Sampson Lewkowicz, adviser to middlweight champion Sergio Martinez (47-2-2, 26 KOs) , that his boxer is going to return to action in the month of July on HBO. After the July bout, Martinez is going to return in the month of November in a pay-per-view bout. The opponents should be revealed in the next two weeks.

"I promised Martinez that I wouldn't talk about [the opponents], but I have three or four possible names. You will see Sergio Martinez fighting on HBO in July, and then in November on a nice pay-per-view, and if you want to see it you will have to pay for it," Lewkowicz said to

One opponent that Lewkowicz would like to see in the ring with Martinez is Miguel Cotto, the WBA junior middleweight champion.

"If Miguel Cotto really has balls, he will take the fight with Sergio Martinez no matter what his promoter Bob Arum says," Lewkowicz said.
